In terms of your career, what are you doing now?
I am Blessed to LOOOOVEE what I do! I am a Breathing Technician. I teach people how to Breathe deep to Live Deeper.
What were you doing before you transitioned into living your purpose?
OMG…working dead end jobs, living a life that was not fulfilled Spiritually. I went from job to job never staying longer than 2-3 years. Never allowing myself to reach higher to be happy because I did not know what higher or being happy meant. I was numb with unhappiness and it was the place I KNEW so there I sat.
What was the biggest challenge before/during/after your transition?
Biggest challenge before my transition was getting clarity as to WHAT the transition would be. I knew I was miserable however, I did not know what I was going TOWARDS. I just knew where I was was uncomfortable and pain-full.
The Universe was very helpful. My rotator cuff tore and I was out of work for several weeks. During that time all I did was Breathwork sessions and cry and talk to God. During that time it became clear that I was to teach Breathwork.
My biggest challenge during my transition was that I worked 7 days a week! I worked my day job and whoever would allow me to teach a Breathwork class at their facility, I did. I was so pooped yet exhilarated because I knew each step lead to freedom from the doldrums and dead in jobs.
After my transition the biggest challenge was getting clear on business basics: marketing, creating back office operations.
What was at stake if you didn’t make the transition?
My friggin’ sanity!
What is your favorite part of your career now?
Sharing the Breath with my clients and having the honor to see their emotional, mental, physical and spiritual transformations take place in front of my eyes!
What nugget of wisdom could you offer those thinking about making the leap?
Be clear that your chosen path is one that you love. Love it so much that you would do it for FREE! Get support! A business coach and life coach. There is nothing like starting your own business that will bring up ALL your SH*t! You must be willing to press into your dark places (those spots that tell ya, "no you can not have your own business. Go have a snow cone and stay miserable!" You must look those places in the eye sit with them and move THROUGH them to SOAR. Otherwise, you just have a nice hobby.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Be brave, be willing, be courageous and run your business from your heart…SOAR!
